Funeral Home, Cremation & Cemetery Services Serving Odessa, TX

When an Odessa family needs help, we answer 24 hours a day at (432) 563-9767.

Odessa families should not have to piece together funeral care from several different providers while they are already carrying the weight of a loss. American Heritage Cemetery, Funeral Home & Crematory gives families one local West Texas team for funeral arrangements, cremation, cemetery needs, burial, and memorialization.

Our campus is located at 4100 N FM 1788, right along the Midland-Odessa corridor where the two communities meet. Although our mailing address is Midland, Odessa is quite literally just across the way. Families from both cities have long come to American Heritage for funeral, cremation, cemetery, burial, and memorialization services, all provided through one local team on one campus.

We also regularly serve families throughout West Odessa and the surrounding Ector County area.

Funeral and memorial services for Odessa families

Every family has its own traditions, church relationships, and ideas about what a meaningful service should look like. We can hold a funeral or memorial service in our chapel, coordinate a service at an Odessa church or other place of worship, or arrange a graveside service at American Heritage Cemetery.

Our role is to keep the details connected. From the first arrangement conversation through the service, burial, or cremation, families have one team helping them understand what comes next and making sure the pieces work together.

Cremation on our own campus

For families choosing cremation, the location of the crematory matters.

American Heritage operates an on-site crematory on the same campus as our funeral home and cemetery. After your loved one enters our care, there is no need for a transfer to an outside crematory in another town. The same local team remains responsible throughout the process.

That continuity gives families something simple but important: a clear understanding of who is caring for their loved one and where that care is taking place.

Cemetery, burial and memorialization

American Heritage Cemetery spans more than 30 acres and gives Odessa families a range of burial and memorialization options in one peaceful West Texas setting.

Families who choose burial can coordinate funeral arrangements and cemetery needs through the same organization rather than having to manage separate providers. Families choosing cremation can also talk with us about cemetery and memorialization options that fit the way they want their loved one remembered.

Care for veterans and their families

Veterans and their families often face paperwork, benefits questions, and ceremonial details at the same time they are planning a service. We help families understand available veterans benefits, coordinate military honors, and offer special veteran property pricing.

Our staff can walk through the process with you so that the service reflects the veteran's life and service while the practical details are handled carefully.

Support after the loss of an infant

For families who lose an infant, we waive our basic services fee for the funeral director and staff. We also typically provide either cremation or a casket at no charge and may donate a grave space. Marker costs are not included.

No family should have to sort through those decisions alone. Call us, and we will explain what is available and help you take the next step at your pace.

Planning ahead

Preplanning gives you the opportunity to record your wishes, make decisions while there is time to consider them, and reduce the number of questions your family may have to answer later.

Whether you are considering funeral, cremation, or cemetery arrangements, our staff can help you understand the choices without pressure.

A real response, day or night

A death does not happen on an office schedule, and neither does our phone coverage.

Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After office hours, a live answering service that works exclusively with funeral homes answers the call and connects the family with our on-call funeral director. You do not have to wait for the next business day to begin getting help.
