Frank Hernandez Mendoza

Frank Hernandez Mendoza, passed away peacefully at his Midland home surrounded by his family on July 28, 2023 at the age of 77. Frank was born in Big Spring, Tx on July 25, 1946 to Frank and Louisa Santiago Mendoza. They resided in Midland Tx, where he attended Midland High School and shortly after enlisted in the marines where he served from 1964 to 1968. Out in the West Texas town of El Paso, he fell in love with his Mexican girl. On January 31st, 1976 , he married the love of his life, Maria L. Villagrana and then had two children. He then became a truck driver after years of hard work and dedication, he started his own trucking business "Frank Mendoza Trucking" in 2005. After a 50 year long career of doing what he loved, he retired in 2018. Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed dancing with his beloved wife. His passion was traveling with his family where he traveled to more than 25 states. Frank enjoyed collecting vintage artifacts. He always looked forward to coming home to sit in his favorite seat in the house (his recliner) where he would enjoy a great steak, baked potato and salad. But most of all watch his favorite old western movies and his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He will be deeply be missed by his family and friends and all who knew him. Frank is survived by his wife Maria Luisa (Villagrana) Mendoza; two children, Neil Mendoza and Janet Mendoza of Midland, Tx. Three brothers; Raymond Mendoza of Oregon, Richard Mendoza And Robert Mendoza of Midland, Tx. One sister; Louisa Navarette of Midland, Tx. 10 grandchildren; Desiree Mendoza, Jonathan Madrid, Destiney Mendoza, Jacob Madrid, Sierra Madrid, Dyson Mendoza, Nathaniel Mendoza, Kasandrah Mendoza, Joseph Madrid and Nathalia Mendoza of Midland, Tx. And 10 great grand children. He is proceeded in death by his parents Frank and Louisa Mendoza. Brothers, David Mendoza and Albert Mendoza. And sisters, Mary Mendoza, Benigna Ramos, Christina Heredia, and Elvira Hammond. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering with the viewing being held at American Heritage Funeral home, Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 4, 2023, at American Heritage Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
