Darla Therese Brazeal

Darla Therese Brazeal (1960 - 2023) Darla Therese Brazeal, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023, in Midland, Texas, after a courageous two-year battle with illness. Born on July 7, 1960, in Fresno, California, Darla was the bright light who brought warmth and love to everyone around her. In 1961, Darla and her family moved to Odessa, Texas, where she eventually graduated from Odessa High School in 1978. A dedicated student, Darla went on to earn two degrees from the University of Phoenix. On June 5, 1981, she married the love of her life, Danny Brazeal, with whom she shared more than 41 years of love, laughter, and adventure. Together, Darla and Danny raised two sons, Joshua and Jacob, both of whom were born in the 1980s. Darla cherished her role as a mother and devoted herself to nurturing strong relationships and bonds between her family and friends. Her caring and giving nature was a testament to her love for God and her unwavering faith. A spirited country and western dancer, Darla's passion for life was contagious. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will continue to inspire her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Darla is survived by her husband, Danny Brazeal; her sons, Joshua and Jacob Brazeal; her grandchildren, Haygen, Paislee, and Taelyn Brazeal; her father, Nicky Bean and his wife Janet Bean; her mother, Shirley Henderson; her brother, Daniel Bean; her sister, Dana Willingham; her niece, Paige Bean; her aunts, Lois Elms and Louise Shiffer; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Darren Bean; her uncles, Lloyd Bean, Leon Elms, and Jim Shiffer; her aunt, Lavon Bean; and her four grandparents. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 5th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at American Heritage Cemetery Funeral Home Crematory in Midland. The funeral service will take place later that day, beginning at 2:00 pm, at Crestview Baptist Church in Midland. Darla's memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her loved ones in the years to come.
