Tomasa Hernandez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tomasa Hernandez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who went to be with the Lord on January 13th, 2025 at the age of 64. Tomasa was a woman who radiated joy and warmth wherever she went. Known for her infectious laughter, compassionate spirit, and deep love for her family, she brought happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She poured her heart into creating a loving and welcoming home. Her kitchen was not just a place to cook; it was a space of fellowship, love, and comfort. Family and friends cherished the many meals she lovingly prepared and the laughter-filled conversations around her dining table. A woman of unwavering faith, Tomasa found peace and strength in her relationship with God. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and it guided her every action. She loved her church family dearly and found joy in serving others. She is survived by her loving husband, Carlos Hernandez, and their five children, Judy Hernandez (Julian Vasquez), Joann Hernandez (Daniel Rivas), Jamie Yang (Steven), Jessica Delarosa (Steven), and Juan Hernandez (Alex). She is preceded in death by her parents Jose Manuel Hermosillo and Maria Pilar Hermosillo and one brother, Hugo Hermosillo. A two-day viewing will be held to honor and celebrate Tomasa. Viewing will be held Thursday, January 16th from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, January 17th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Immediately following a funeral service will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home on January 17th at 2:00 PM followed by interment at American Heritage Cemetery. Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Tomasa Hernández, una amada esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y amiga, quien partió para estar con el Señor el 13 de enero de 2025 a la edad de 64 años. Tomasa era una mujer que irradiaba alegría y calidez dondequiera que iba. Conocida por su risa contagiosa, su espíritu compasivo y su profundo amor por su familia, llenaba de felicidad a todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Entregaba su corazón para crear un hogar lleno de amor y bienvenida. Su cocina no era solo un lugar para cocinar, sino un espacio de comunión, amor y consuelo. Familiares y amigos atesoraban las muchas comidas que preparaba con cariño y las conversaciones llenas de risas alrededor de su mesa. Mujer de fe inquebrantable, Tomasa encontraba paz y fortaleza en su relación con Dios. Su fe era la piedra angular de su vida y guiaba cada una de sus acciones. Amaba profundamente a su familia de la iglesia y encontraba gozo al servir a los demás. Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Carlos Hernández, y sus cinco hijos: Judy Hernández (Julian Vásquez), Joann Hernández (Daniel Rivas), Jamie Yang (Steven), Jessica Delarosa (Steven) y Juan Hernández (Alex). Le preceden en la muerte sus padres, José Manuel Hermosillo y María Pilar Hermosillo, y un hermano, Hugo Hermosillo. Se llevará a cabo un velorio de dos días para honrar y celebrar la vida de Tomasa. El velorio será el jueves 16 de enero de 2:00 PM a 8:00 PM y el viernes 17 de enero de 10:00 AM a 2:00 PM. Inmediatamente después, se realizará un servicio funerario en American Heritage Funeral Home el 17 de enero a las 2:00 PM, seguido del entierro en el American Heritage Cemetery.
