Robert "Bobby" David Stice

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Bobby” David Stice, who passed on August 8th, 2026, at age 56. Bobby was born on September 15th, 1969, in Houston, Texas. In 1977, the Stice family moved to Odessa, where he spent most of his life. In 2022, he moved to Branson, Missouri, before returning to Odessa in 2026. Bobby is survived by his daughter, Katelynn Marie Stice; his son, Logan DeMoss; his stepson, Taylor Mahan; his grandchildren, Levi and Liberty DeMoss and Nolan and Conrad Mahan; his sister, Lynn Deen James-Young; his brother, David Lee Stice Jr.; his nephews, John, Josh, and Jacob James, David L. Stice III, and Zachry Stice; his niece, Serenity Janosik; his aunt, Susan Riad; and his cousins, Sharif Riad, Patrick Bryce, and Ryan Bryce. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lynn Stice; his father, David Lee Stice Sr.; his beloved older sister, Carol Lynn Stice; and his grandparents, Jack and Glyn Stice and Robert and Betty Futrell. Bobby lived with a larger-than-life personality. He was funny, loud, adventurous, and loyal. He was a man who stood firmly by the people he loved. His laugh was unforgettable, and his presence left an impression on everyone he met. A naturally gifted athlete, he excelled at nearly every sport he tried, including football, basketball, track, and boxing. One of the moments he was most proud of was competing in the tough man national boxing contest, where his toughness earned him recognition and a feature on national television. He loved music, singing, comic books, and animals. He found joy in simple things and in the company of friends and family. Since his passing, many have called Bobby a legend and the founder of the Buddies. For those who loved him most, he will be remembered for something even greater: his loyalty, his protection, and the way he made others feel when they were in his life. A funeral service will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026. A Celebration of Life will follow at Felip’s Bar & Grill in Odessa, where loved ones and friends can gather to share stories and memories. His absence leaves a tremendous void, but his laughter, loyalty, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We love you, Bobby—brother and friend. Thank you for the memories, the many stories, and, most of all, the love you gave to make each of us feel special in the only way you knew how.
