Randall Wayne Burton, "Randy"

Randall "Randy" Wayne Burton, age 58, passed away at Hospice House in Odessa, Texas February 6, 2012. He was born in Midland, Texas, March 26, 1953 to John and Wanda Burton. He fought a battle with cancer with courage and with dignity. He was a joy to everyone who had contact with him and he will be missed so much. Randy was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was preceded in death by his daughter Doty Jo Burton, his grandparents Mary and Robert Wilson, his father John H. Burton, and his sister Charlotte Ellen Burton Vasbinder all of Midland, Tx. He was also preceded in death by by grandparents Aurthur and Nina Burton of Hand, South Dakota. Randy is survived by his sons Larry Don Burton, of Midland, TX and Cody Wayne Burton of Austin, TX; sons through marriage, Adam Peters and daughter Hayden, Jason and Tamara Peters and son Westun; mother Wanda Burton of Midland; brother Robert Burton and wife Jane, of Midland; sisters Marylin and husband Jim Morris of Odessa, TX, Karen and husband Danny Gipson of Odessa, TX, D'Anne and husband Randall Henson, of Midland; many nieces and nephews whom he loved was loved in return by each of them. Randy attended school in Midland, TX and worked in several industries that included: Dr. Pepper, Keebler Cookies, Permian Distributing and lastly found his calling selling cars. He began his automotive career at Sun Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep and prior to his illness and subsequent retirement from Kelly Grimsley, he worked for All American Chevrolet. Through his work he made so many good and lasting friendships. He loved playing the guitar, writing songs, playing golf, video games and boating. Lately he's been updating his favorite boat. Randalls talent as a song-writer was absaloutly astounding and we, his family, were always entertained at famiy functions by a new song or a favorite old one. His children, his songs, family and friendships are his legacy. Memorial Services were held Friday, February 10, 2012 at Beit HaDerekh Messianic Congregation, 13370 Highway 191, North side Service Road between the Airport exit and Faudree Road. Travel West on the service road, the building is located about 1/2 mile after La Hacienda Event Center. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, TX. In leiu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice House in Odessa, TX.
