Patricia Jo Campbell Eicher McCallum

Patricia Jo Campbell Eicher McCallum, lovingly known as “Patty,” passed away peacefully on March 26th, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas, just two days shy of her 66th birthday. She was born on March 28th, 1959, in Odessa, Texas, where she spent the entirety of her life surrounded by the people and places she loved most. Patty was the embodiment of creativity, strength, and compassion. A proud graduate of PermianHigh School’s Class of 1977, she later went on to earn two bachelor’s degrees—from theUniversity of Texas of the Permian Basin—in History and Art. Throughout her life, she wore many hats: homemaker, educator, and, ultimately, a passionate real estate agent. She found joy in helping others and oficially retired from real estate in 2023 after over a decade of dedicated service. Her creativity shined in every facet of her life—from handmade costumes for her children to beautifully crafted works of art. Her daughter fondly remembers a poodle skirt Patty spent daysmaking for her and all of the projects their mother helped them complete for school. Patty dabbled in everything from paper making and sculpting to painting and drawing. Her green thumb was well known, and her greenhouse was one of her sanctuaries. She had a talent for making any house feel like home, especially through her cooking—her family swears she never made a bad meal. Patty had a lifelong love for collecting rocks and stones, a passion sparked in childhood that continued into her adult years. Her heart was especially tender for animals, particularly dogs. Her family imagines she was welcomed to Heaven by a joyful herd of beloved pets waiting on the rainbow bridge. A devoted Christian, Patty now rests in the arms of her Savior. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, Richard Wayne McCallum of Odessa; her children: sons, Jarrod Dean Eicher of Gardendale and Jacob Howard Eicher of Odessa; daughter, Jordan Alexis Eicher Linnenkugel of Lubbock and her husband, Nikolus Alan Linnenkugel, and their sons Ayden Nikolus (18), Riley Stephen (15), Nikolus Dean (15), and Hudson Emery (11). She is also survived by Chase Hart of Odessa, whom she loved like and referred to as an adopted son. Patty leaves behind her sister, Lisa Rae Davidson of Poolville, and Lisa’s husband, Davy, along with their children Daniel Wayne Davidson of Deming, NM and his daughter, Emma Rose; and Jennifer Nicole Davidson and her fiancé, Clayton Findley; her stepmother, Capel Campbell of Midland; her stepbrother, John Perez of Midland; and her nephew, Caelan Wayne Campbell of Grapevine. She is also survived by countless cherished friends whom she loved like family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Ann Wells Campbell; her father, Wendell Ray Campbell; her brother, Wendell Wayne Campbell; her beloved grandmother, Martha “Molly”Jo Bartley; and many treasured pets. To know Patty was to be loved by her. Her children remember her as a fierce protector, whether it be of her opinion or in defense of those she loved. They remember that she tirelessly ran their PTAs and was always their classrooms’ “room mom.” She always encouraged and expected their success. She was often considered a “second mom” to any of their friends who needed one. She gave of herself freely and loved with all her heart. When her family was asked to describe her in a word, most of them picked a word synonymous with “tough.” Even in her final days, she fought bravely, with passion and grit, just as she lived. Her family is confident that the moment after she took her last breath here on earth, she took her first full breath in Heaven.To be absent from the body, is to be in the presence of the Lord.- II Corinthians Services:• Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31st, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM• Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, at 11:00 AM* Both services will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, 4100 FM 1788.• Bread Breaking, for those who would like to gather for a meal afterwards, will be held at 2:00 PM on April 1st. The restaurant location will be announced during the service.
