Letitia "Tish" Inez Gidney

Letitia (Tish) Inez Gidney, 51, of Midland, Tx passed away peacefully at her home, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Tish was born April 16, 1963, in Safford, Arizona to the late Lee and Renate Robbins. She was raised on ranches in Arizona and South West New Mexico. She graduated from Deming High School and attended NMSU. Tish met the love of her life, Leonard (Butch) Gidney, and they were married on January 8, 1983 in Deming, New Mexico. They moved to Midland, Tx in 1999. Together they loved and raised two sons, Kyle Ray Gidney and Logan Ray Gidney, both of Midland, Tx. Tish began her career in banking and then specialized in title research. She worked for West Texas Abstract and was currently employed at Permian Abstract as Escrow Officer. Tish was an avid reader, enjoyed needlepoint and crochet, and loved her pets (Zoey, Baily & Sarah) but most of all she loved to travel with Butch. Tish is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Renate Robbins. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Butch; her son Logan and son Kyle and wife Misty; her pride and joy, two grandchildren, Konner and Karigan (to them she was GiGi). Tish is survived by her brother, Grady Robbins and his children, Chance, Brianne, McKenzie, and Makayla; sister, Nancy Jackson and her children, Kyleigh and Blythe; brother, Billy Robbins, wife Meredith and their children, Natalie and Jillian. Tish is also survived by her in-laws, Leonard and Connie Gidney of Roswell, NM. They called her (Tisha Ray) and they loved her as a daughter. Tish was loved by many as was evident by the many friends and family members that have shown infinite love and support during the past three and a half years of her life. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brachetta, Texas Oncology and the doctors and nurses of Hospice of Midland for their support and care during Tish’s battle with cancer. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 19,2015 at American Heritage Chapel. A celebration of life for Tish will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, 1607 N FM 1788; burial to follow at American Heritage Cemetery.
