Leslie Lynn Haussecker

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Lynn Haussecker of Midland, Texas. Leslie passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on August 8, 2024, at the age of 62, after a short battle with cancer. Born on April 6, 1962, Leslie was a Midland native who dedicated most of his working years to mowing yards, a profession that he took great pride in. He had a true passion for gardening and horticulture. He found joy in nurturing and cultivating beautiful spaces, and his love for gardening was evident in every bloom and leaf he tended. Leslie cherished the relationships he built with members of the community throughout his life. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help others, frequently assisting with the transportation needs of his neighbors and stopping for morning breakfast burritos. Leslie is survived by his devoted wife of 35 wonderful years, Grace Haussecker; his daughters Heide Gunn and Sirena Watts, and her husband, Coty Watts; and his grandchildren, whom he adored: Collin Gunn, Christina Watts, Landon Watts, Kaden Watts, and Baylor Watts. He also leaves behind his brothers, James 'Jimmy' Haussecker and Joey Haussecker Jr.; his sister, Phrasia Ott; and many nieces and nephews. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gail Haussecker Sr.; his sister, Lori McKinney; and his brother, Kurt Haussecker. A celebration of Leslie's life will be held privately by his immediate family this upcoming week. His family would also like to thank the nursing staff and other members of the medical team who took care of Leslie in his final hours. Leslie Lynn Haussecker will be remembered fondly for his nurturing spirit, his love for gardening, and his unwavering support for those around him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Forever in our hearts... we love and miss you!
