Lee Ora Redic

Lee Ora Redic, 102, of Odessa, Texas, was called home to her Lord and Savior on February 10, 2025, at Focused Care Odessa. She lived a life full of faith, love, and service, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering devotion to God and her family. Lee Ora was born on November 19, 1922, in Red River County, Texas, to Edward Jackson and Mattie Love. In the 1950s, she moved to Odessa, where she worked tirelessly as a housekeeper and dishwasher before later becoming a beautician and ultimately retiring as a machinist. Her faith was the foundation of her life. A founding member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, she was an active participant from the very beginning. She served as a choir member, deaconess missionary, missionary board member, and church secretary. She lived out her calling through missionary work, always seeking ways to serve others and spread the love of God. She was a woman always on the move, fully committed to her faith, her family, and her life's work. On June 16, 1986, Lee Ora married Clarence Redic at Bethlehem Baptist Church, becoming his devoted and loving wife until the Lord called him home on June 11, 1990. Their bond was a beautiful example of love and faithfulness, rooted in shared values and unwavering devotion. To know Lee Ora was to love her. She was a woman of sweetness, kindness, and grace, touching countless lives with her gentle spirit and warm heart. She was deeply loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lee Ora is survived by her two sons, Alfred Williams (Christine) and Fred Williams Jr.; her adopted daughter and granddaughter, Latoya (Arien) Thomas; and her beloved niece, Betty Morgan, who called her nightly to visit and check in on her. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and twenty great-great-grandchildren, as well as her very special neighbor, Mary Morris, who faithfully cared for her until the Lord called her home. Additionally, she is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many others whom she called family. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Clarence Redic; her son, Otis B. Williams; her parents, Mattie and Edward Jackson; her sister, Velma Dennis; her brother, Alonzo Jackson; and her two grandsons, Otis and Jeremy Williams. Lee Ora's faithfulness, love, and generosity will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her. She was a pillar of strength and devotion, always moving forward, always on the go, and always placing God and family at the center of her life. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the Lord she so faithfully served. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church; funeral will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Interment following the funeral in American Heritage Cemetery.
