Jeannie Marie Green

Our beloved Jeannie Marie (Davis) Green passed away at home surrounded by her family after a long and brutal battle with breast cancer. Jeannie was born in Olean, New York on September 5, 1972. Jeannie was a fiancé to Kurtis Eldredge of Odessa, Texas and mother to Wesley (Deonne) Green of Hicksville, Ohio, Zachary Green of Odessa, Texas, Taylor Green of Hicksville, Ohio, and Kasey (Casey) Helms of Payne, Ohio, and a grandmother of 6 grandchildren, Camden, Layla, Wyatt, Jazmin, Serenity, and Collin. Jeannie graduated from Hicksville High School. She diligently worked to achieve her nursing degree and went on to work in the nursing field at a variety of hospitals and nursing homes as a traveling nurse. She was greatly grieved when the doctor told her no more nursing due to breast cancer, so she found other ways to serve. Jeannie was the most sarcastic and funny person. She was also honest, sometimes brutally, but in the sincerest way. She was one of a kind. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She loved to help and would give to anyone who asked. Jeannie was loved by all who met her. She made a lasting impression on everyone around her. She was proceeded in death by her father Norman Davis of Hindsdale, New York. She is survived by her mother Dorothy Davis of Hicskville, Ohio and stepmother Rachel Davis of Hindsdale, New York. She has 5 sisters, Tammy Davis, Tanya (Gerald) Burdick, Kimberly Tidd, Kathy (Troy) Sargent, and Jennifer (Joe) Caryer. She also has 3 step siblings, Tammy (Chris) Ferry, Scott (Kimberly) Kish, and Michael (Sherrie) Kish and numerous extended family members. As Jeannie requested, there will be no funeral, but she will have a celebration of life party. Celebration of Life Saturday, July 17th from 3:00PM – 7:00PM Village West Apartments in Artesia, New Mexico. Alma’s Food donated. Bring your own chair/drink.
