Ismael Hernandez Taboada

Ismael Hernandez Taboada, age 68, of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on April 15, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on December 1, 1956, in Colonia Luis L. Leon D.B., Mexico, to Jesus and Concepcion Taboada, Ismael lived a life filled with music, laughter, and deep devotion to those he loved. He married the love of his life, Manuela Carrasco Taboada, on July 31, 1981, in Lovington, New Mexico, and their enduring bond has been an inspiration to all who knew them. His wife was truly his heart, and he never missed an opportunity to show it-she was always his number one. Ismael will be remembered most for his selfless nature and the joy he brought into every room. He was a man of warmth and humor, known for his infectious laugh and unforgettable jokes. His vibrant personality and quick wit made him a friend to all and a light in the lives of many. He had a deep passion for music, one he shared generously with his community. Whether volunteering his musical talents at funeral services or playing in churches, Ismael gave his heart through every note. His music was an extension of his spirit-caring, passionate, and full of life. Above all else, Ismael was devoted to his family. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren fiercely and unconditionally. Family was everything to him, and he made sure they knew it every single day. His legacy will live on in the stories, memories, and love he leaves behind. He is survived by his beloved wife, Manuela Carrasco Taboada; his six children, Norma Jean Valencia, Maria Teresa White (William), Luis Jr. Patino, Reynaldo Patino, Isreal Patino (Brenda), and Ismael Reyes Taboada; and five sisters, Dora Maria Hernandez Guerra, Angelica Hernandez Guerra, Elvira Hernandez Guerra, Beatrice Hernandez Guerra, and Cruz Hernandez Guerra; as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his brother, Alfredo Taboada. Ismael touched countless lives with his humor, kindness, and unwavering love. His absence will be felt deeply, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed by everyone.
