Garry Paul Burke

Garry Paul Burke, 60, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Garry was born on January 12, 1966, in Pampa, Texas to Garry Burke and Rosetta Low. He spent his life working as a welder, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic, skilled hands, and dedication to providing for his family. Garry was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather-affectionately known as "Poppy". His greatest joy in life was his family and friends, especially his beloved grandbabies. He lived with compassion, integrity, and an unmatched work ethic, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be remembered for his strength, kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and his colorful vocabulary-a trait that proudly lives on in his children and never failed to make those around him smile. Garry found happiness in the simple things he loved most: riding his Harley, spending time at the lake, and taking golf cart rides with his loyal dog, Maverick. His love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. Throughout his battle, he demonstrated remarkable courage and grace, facing each day with resilience and determination. His strength inspired those around him, and his love never wavered, even in his most difficult moments. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosetta Low and his father Garry Burke. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Burke; his daughter, Brittany Burke; his son, Garrett Burke; his wife Holly Burke; and his beloved grandchildren, Addalyn & Bodie Burke, Ryker Carnes, and Daxton Smith. His family was the center of his life, and the memories they shared together will be treasured forever. Garry will be remembered for his hard work, his devotion to those he loved, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of his family and friends. His memory will live on in the stories we tell, the values he instilled in us, and the love he gave freely. Though our hearts are broken, his love will continue to guide us every day of all who knew and loved him. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." A gathering will be held for Garry Burke on August 22nd , located at The Loft Event Venue: 1315 W County Road 140 Midland, Texas 79706, from 12:00-2:30pm. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects. Food will be provided by Brantley Creek.
