. As written by Wayne Liles: Celebrate life, do not grieve death. If you are reading this, then I, Clovis “Wayne” Liles, have gone on to be with my Savior Jehovah. I am no more of this earth, but will meet you just inside the eastern gate. Oh the joys of that glad meeting with the saints who for us wait; the Bridegroom will watch and wait; He will meet us inside that gate! My only reason for lingering on earth is my beloved wife, Lori Liles. She has brought me so much happiness. I never knew one could have such privileged love as I’ve had with her. I have led a blessed life. God gave me wonderful children in whom I am so proud. Vernon Liles and his lovely wife Dianne are in Skiatook, Ok. Eddie Liles, his lovely wife Deborah and children, Sheyenne, Adam and Carmella are in Alvord, TX. Debbie Brown is in Anadarko, OK. And Laci. Laci Lamb is my baby and gives me two more grandsons, Joshua and Logan. And if that wasn’t enough, God reunited me with a long lost granddaughter Athena Hunter, her beau James and my great granddaughter Rylee Jo. I cannot even begin to explain my love for my family. They made me complete. Please do not grieve for me; I am now dancing with joy, anticipating our reunion one day. My life has been long and happy. I’ve met many wonderful people, seen many great places. I served my country diligently. 21 years in the US Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant, Clovis Liles. I did what I believed in. I worked the land farming and ranching. I loved working in the great outdoors more than anything, serving Jehovah daily. Nothing on earth is more peaceful than smelling the fresh air that God gives us, astraddle a horse just admiring His majesty. Now I am admiring a sight to behold, one that makes the majestic earth seem mediocre at best. 83 wonderful years were given me on earth. I hope when I am remembered you will be able to say, “he served the Lord”. I was born July 27, 1931 in Sapulpa, OK to Calvin and Beulah Liles. My last day to be with my friends and family was February 10, 2015. The psalmist says “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Don’t weep for me, my joy has come. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Fellowship, 4601 W Interstate 20, Midland, TX 79706. Services are entrusted to American Heritage Cemetery and Funeral Home.
