Alicia Olivas Loe

Alicia Olivas Loe, 83, of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Alicia was born on July 17, 1942, in Colorado City, Texas, to Guadalupe and Maria (Perez) Olivas. On September 4, 1965, she married the love of her life, Cruz Cardoza Loe, in Colorado City - a marriage full of devotion, laughter, and the kind of love that could only grow stronger with time. Her husband often said they shared the best arguments and the best fights, a reflection of their passion and partnership that endured for sixty wonderful years. Alicia was known by all who loved her as kind, compassionate, and courageous. She was strong-willed, steadfast, and deeply devoted to her family. As the best wife ever, she took great pride in her home, ensuring it was always filled with love, laughter, and good food. A woman of great independence and faith, Alicia lived her life guided by her values and her love for others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit that kept everyone smiling. A very conservative woman, she was true to her beliefs but always gentle in her ways. Her creative spirit shone through in all she did. Alicia loved to craft - her hands were rarely still. From ceramics and quilting to sewing and scrapbooking, she found joy in creating beauty from simple things. She was also an excellent cook, known for her delicious dishes and her love of looking through recipes with pictures for inspiration. Alicia began her career as an aide at ECISD, later working in retail, where she made many lifelong friends. She eventually retired as a bookkeeper from Broadmore Auto Supply, where she worked faithfully for many years. Her dedication, hard work, and loyalty made her an invaluable part of every team she joined. More than anything, Alicia was devoted to her family. She was crazy about her grandkids and took immense joy in watching her family grow. Her love was the thread that held everyone together - a legacy that will continue for generations. Alicia was deeply loved by so many people, her kindness and strength touching every life she encountered. She is survived by her husband, Cruz Loe; daughters, Rebecca Walker, Rachel Loe, and Sylvia Salazar; her sister, Alejandra Hernandez (Amarillo, Tx.); and her brother, Robert Olivas (Irma) (Big Spring, Tx.). She is also survived by seven grandchildren - Vivian, Ezekiel, Kamille, Joshua, Nicole, Yvonne, and Yvette - along with twelve great-grandchildren and one more precious great-grandchild expected to arrive in March. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish her memory. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Maria Perez; her son, Cruz Loe Jr.; her grandsons, Daniel Cruz Loe and Christopher Walker; her son-in-law, Ross Walker; and her sisters, Angelita Gomez and Maria Barrera. Alicia's life was a beautiful reflection of love, strength, and grace. She will be remembered for her warmth, her courage, her unwavering devotion to family, and her remarkable ability to make every person she met feel cared for. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved - in every quilt she stitched, every recipe she shared, and every laugh she left behind. The Funeral Mass honoring Alicia (Olivas) Loe will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Odessa, Texas.
