Alexander Scott Chavarria

Alexander Scott Chavarria, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, departed from this world on April 14, 2024, at his home in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 36. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Born on January 11, 1988, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Eugene Chavarria, Jr. and Rebecca Dorthea Guerrero, Alexander was a beacon of light from the moment he entered this world. He brought joy and warmth to everyone around him, and his presence was a gift to those who crossed his path. Alexander's life was a tapestry woven with love, compassion, and resilience. He found his greatest joy in the roles of husband and father, cherishing his wife, Jennifer Diaz, and their blended families which includes seven beautiful children: Adrian Alexander Chavarria, Nevaeh Alaya Chavarria, Anabelle Andrea Chavarria, Elijah Chavarria, Aaliyah Garcia, Angel Garcia, and Addalynne Garcia. He was a devoted father who delighted in his children. He loved to take his daughters to father-daughter dances and sharing precious moments with all of his children. His talents were vast and varied, as he was entirely self-taught and exceptionally gifted. Alexander's love for grilling was legendary, and he could often be found behind a barbecue, creating culinary masterpieces for his loved ones. His passion for trucks and cars mirrored his love for speed and music, and he found solace and joy in the roar of engines and the melodies that filled the air. A man of deep faith, Alexander nurtured a personal relationship with God that guided him through life's trials and triumphs. His spirituality was not confined to the walls of a church; rather, it permeated every aspect of his being. In his final days, he felt called to share his faith with others, preaching with fervor and conviction. Alexander's outgoing nature and magnetic personality endeared him to all who met him. He possessed a rare gift for making connections and never met a stranger. His genuine kindness, coupled with his leadership qualities, made him a cherished friend and mentor to many. He found great fulfillment in serving his church family, whether through food or ministry, and his generosity knew no bounds. Alexander's legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were touched by his presence. Though Alexander may have departed from this world, his spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved him. May his laughter, his love, and his zest for life serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for us all. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Diaz; parents, Eugene Chavarria Jr. and Rebecca Dorthea (Landreth) Guerrero (Omene "Blue" Leal Montano); five siblings, Crystal Rose Landreth, Briana Chavarria, Natalie Chavarria, and Eugene Chavarria III; and Khloerose Montano; mother to his children, Natalie Bello, paternal aunts Ermalinda Chavarria, and Thelma Chavarria, maternal grandparents Ginger and Jimmy Batencore Gonzales, as well as paternal grandmother Juanita Chavarria. He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Eugene Chavarria Sr. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home with burial immediately following in American Heritage Cemetery.
