    Myrtle Erwin

    August 26, 1943 - March 23, 2018

Myrtle Ann (Walters) Erwin passed away on March 23, 2018 at her home in Midland Texas following a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Loy and Mary Walters of Odessa Texas, and wife of the late Gerald Erwin of Midland Texas. Myrtle was born in El Paso, Texas, August 26, 1943 and grew up in Odessa Texas and graduated from Odessa High School. Myrtle and her late husband resided in Midland since 1975. Myrtle thoroughly enjoyed visits from her family and friends - all of whom loved her dearly. She loved spending time with family and friends and was always the life of the party. Myrtle and Gerald devoted all their years together to serving their family as well as raising greyhounds. She always felt blessed to be surrounded by friends and family as those were always the most important things to her. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be missed tremendously. Myrtle is survived by her son, Clay Erwin and her daughter, Paige Erwin McPherson of Midland, TX; four grandchildren: Katie Erwin of Odessa, TX; and Claire, Ashlynn, and Kenley McPherson of Midland, TX. Myrtle is also survived by her brother, Martin Walters of Odessa, TX and her sister, Patricia Walters Kirk of Heath, TX. She was predeceased by her brothers Loy (Sonny) Walters and Jerry Walters. Internment for Mrs. Erwin will be held Friday April 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at American Heritage Cemetery in Midland, Texas. Memorial donations in memory of Myrtle can be made to Hospice of Midland.
