Marilyn Parker, age 68, of Odessa, Texas went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on Friday, January 15, 2021, in Odessa, Texas. Marilyn was born June 19, 1952, in Littlefield, Texas to Calvin and Ruth Price who preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Ronnie Parker, daughters April (Celey) Ward, Crystal (William) Weaver, and Vasia (Dewey) Fathree. Her son Clifton (Lindsey) Parker, and her brother Thaxter (Alice) Price. She leaves eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren to mourn the loss of their Nana. Since childhood, Marilyn enjoyed playing the piano and singing, especially in church. She and her brother, Thaxter, played the piano and organ together in church for many years. She regularly played for her Sunday School class and in a gospel band. Those who were blessed to hear Marilyn will miss her music and sweet voice. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, from 5 PM to 8 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at Crossroads Fellowship in the chapel 6901 E. Highway 191 in Odessa with Rev. David Newton officiating. Interment will follow at American Heritage Cemetery at 4100 N FM 1788 in Midland. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions are made in Marilyn's memory to Retro Church at Crossroads, or to a charity of your choice.
