Celebration of life; Leona Evette Swinney Leona Evette Swinney was born in Odessa Texas on June 23, 2000 to Christina Maliszewski and Adam Heger. Leona attended school in Odessa until she moved to Tennessee when she was 16. She graduated from Sequatchie County High School in Dunlap Tennessee. Leona had returned to Odessa and recently moved to Springfield Missouri. On April 25, 2022 our beautiful sweet girl was found deceased in her apartment at the young age of only 21. Leona was a beautiful kind loving generous soul that loved all animals. She was a cat rescuer, but was known to rescue any animal that needed it. Her home, car, money and time was all dedicated to helping, saving and rehoming animals that were abandoned or hurt. She was the most beautiful intelligent kind soul anyone has ever had the privilege to know and the loss of her has left a deep unimaginable hole in all our hearts that will never be able to be filled. I know heaven has gained one of the most beautiful angels one could imagine. Leona is survived by her parents, Christina Maliszewski and Adam Heger, her brothers Silas Evans and William Maliszewski, and her grandparents Diane Guillen, Kim Patterson, Milt Heger, and David Rudd, along with many extended family members. Services to honor and celebrate Leona's life will be held on June 23 at 2PM at American Heritage Funeral Home 4100 FM 1788 Midland Tx.
