Ima Lanette Springer

Ima Lanette Springer, 86, of Odessa, TX passed away on January 31, 2022 at Parks Assisted Living Center in Odessa, Texas. Lanette was born on September 7, 1935 to Orvile Elmer Woods and Verna Louise Ince in Brown County, Texas. She married Jackie Dale Springer on October 14, 1959 in Abilene, TX. She and Jack were married for 62 years. Lanette lived in Abilene throughout her childhood. She attended Abilene High. She moved to Odessa, TX in the fifties where she attended nursing school at Odessa College. She received her LVN in nursing and worked at Medical Center Hospital for three years. She was a person of great faith, was a participating member of Temple Baptist/Crossroads Church, and passed her faith on to her children as a fully devoted follower of Christ. She is survived by her spouse Jack Dale Springer. She is also survived by her son, Jack Dale Springer Jr. and his wife Brenda Springer, and her daughter Janet Springer. She also had two grandsons, Sean Springer and his wife Gena Springer, Craig Springer and three great grandsons. She is preceded in death by her parents, Orvile Elmer Woods, Verna Eloise Ince Newman, and her stepfather Floyd Newman. A special thanks goes to those who cared for her at Parks Assisted Living, and Home Hospice. Visitation will be Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at American Heritage Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11:00 am.
